(December 25, 2011) In an attempt to get the carbon reduction rubber on the road, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has made grants across the country to spark applied initiatives to reduce greenhouse gases in their regions. Among the awardees are Tompkins County (Ithaca), Central New York, and Monroe County (Rochester). These regions are a variety of projects to meet the program’s carbon reduction goals.
