Buffalo locals, with preservation in mind, have been buying up properties in an effort to “save houses from demolition and preserve a neighborhood or two.” Described as “microdevelopers” these activists are trying to put back together a city that has seen it’s fair share of population decline and job loss. These efforts represent just a few of the achievements in local community-building happening in Buffalo, as people are finding their own way to contribute.
