Governing magazine has released a sobering analysis revealing that pedestrian fatalities in American communities are much higher in poorer neighborhoods. The article’s subtitle: “Many cities have made pedestrian safety a priority, but their efforts rarely focus on poorer areas, which have double the fatality rates of wealthier communities.”
