Niagara Falls’ controversial student loan payment incentive receives funds from state

(December 19, 2012)  Back in July we covered the City of Niagara Falls’ creative incentive for attracting the “creative class” to live and work downtown: helping young professionals and entrepreneurs pay off their student loans. This week, the Niagara Falls Downtown Stabilization Project, which includes the student loan payment incentive, received $450,000 from the Empire State Development Corporation as part of the state’s Regional Economic Development Council process.
