“You can go get your sandwich in Larchmont”: Westchester town bans ‘fast-casual’ chain restaurants

The Westchester County Town of Eastchester took a bold step to protect its character and independent businesses by prohibiting ‘fast-casual’ chain restaurants such as Subway and Quiznos. The Town Supervisor expressed confidence in the decision, saying: “You can go get your sandwich in Larchmont. We aren’t going to cheapen the town with fast food or these formula fast-quick casual places.”
