Red Hook bestowed state zoning innovation award

The Town of Red Hook received the 2011 Pomeroy Award for zoning excellence from the New York Planning Federation. The “Centers and Greenspace” zoning amendments, designed through an intermunicipal task force among the Town, the Village of Red Hook, and the Village of Tivoli, helps these communities maintain and grow vibrant small-town and village  centers at the same time preserving farms and farmland, forest, and other open space.
