Quest for grocery store within Binghamton city limits moving slowly

The goal of a full-service grocery store for the City of Binghamton’s north side seems far from actualization. Like many other cities, Binghamton has seen the growth of “food deserts,” or places where mostly low-income people do not have easy access to fresh, healthy food. At the same time,  supermarkets continue to open  outside the city limits.
