North Country railroad: tourist train or rail-to-trail?

(November 25, 2011)– North country governments, agencies, and residents debate whether a 34-mile stretch of rail line should be restored for a tourist train, or repurposed into a multi-use recreational trail. Further complicating the issue is that trail advocates vary from those insisting on motorlessness to snowmobilers.
