Committee of 29 is Western New York’s $1 billion decisionmaker

(March 1, 2012)  The Western New York Regional Development Council, appointed by Governor Cuomo, will be the group to marshal the $1 billion pledged by Cuomo into action. The Council ranges from college and chamber of commerce presidents, to community organizers and advocates, to vintners, to doctors, to labor leaders. Sam Hoyt, former state assemblyman now the regional President of the Empire State Development Corporation, calls the Council “a good mix.”
