Car and Driver magazine declares America’s highway system “broken, broke”

A stunning declaration from the publication dedicated to Cars and Drivers– America’s highway system is “broken, and broke.”

Car and Driver’s investigative report and subsequent indictment of our highway infrastructure leads with the example of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York, which was designed to handle 18,000 cars per day, but that now carries almost ten times that many. The fix? $5 billion at least, in a state at least $55 million in the hole.
